A beautiful handcrafted emerald and diamond bee brooch in 18 karat white and yellow gold.
The bee’s thorax is composed of a rubover-set oval emerald within a halo of grain-set round brilliant-cut diamonds, the wings pave-set throughout with diamonds, with the abdomen composed of alternating rows of millegrain-set calibre-French-cut emeralds and round brilliant-cut diamonds. The bee is further accented with cabochon ruby eyes and yellow gold legs to contrast with the the white gold body.
There is a total emerald weight of 0.34 carats; all are perfectly matched in colour. There is a total diamond weight of 0.37 carats, and these are estimated to be G-H in colour with VVS1 clarity.
For size reference the bee measures 1.5 x 2.0 centimetres and there is a gross weight of 3.2 grams.
