A charming Cartier elephant with calf brooch set in 18 karat yellow gold, circa 1990. The brooch is designed as an adult mother elephant and its calf, in polished yellow gold, with two emerald eye details.
This spectacular piece is from the ‘Route des Indes’ collection which was a popular vintage collection in the late1990’s.The reason this brooch is so beautiful is down to the design! The brooch is secured to reverse with a hinged pin and barrel clasp fitting.
Both elephants are signed Cartier, 750, with the serial number 691271. For size reference the brooch measures 3.5 x 1.8 centimetres and there is a gross weight of 11.2 grams.
