Vintage Mikimoto Interchangeable Diamond Earrings in Yellow Gold

A unique pair of vintage Mikimoto 100th anniversary collection interchangeable drop earrings set in 18k yellow gold with diamond, ruby, sapphire, emerald and pearl, circa 1993.

Firstly, the set is composed of a pair of hoop earrings. Each earring is set with 4 round brilliant-cut diamonds. Uniquely, the set includes four pairs of drop motifs that can be added to the hoop earring. The four pairs are set with 6 diamonds, 6 rubies, 6 sapphires, 6 emeralds and 2 pearls. The different vivid colours contrasted with the colourless diamond sparkle for multiple elegant and stylish looks. The earrings are secured to reverse with a post and butterfly fitting.

Due to their design and size, these earrings can be worn on a variety of occasions. They could be worn every day or dressed up for special occasions.

The total estimated weight of the diamonds is 0.42 carats, ranging from G-H in colour with VVS clarity. For size reference, each earring measures approximately 2.2 centimetres in length and 1.15 centimetres in width. This set has a total gross weight of 20.8 grams.
