A truly stunning Art Deco inspired sapphire and diamond cluster ring set in platinum.
The piece is centrally set with an astounding 7.62 carat royal blue cushion cut sapphire which is securely four-claw set in platinum. The sapphire has a desirable vibrant royal blue colour to it and is surrounded by a cluster of 12 diamonds; all of which are also claw set. What makes this ring so different to other traditional sapphire clusters is the choice of diamonds surrounding the sapphire. Uniquely, as well as having the traditional round brilliant cut diamonds, this ring also has two trapezoid cut diamonds to either side. This contrast in diamond cuts surprisingly makes a beautiful pairing and elongates the head of the ring.
The head of the ring is slightly raised which makes it easy to wear with other rings. The band is 2.5 millimetres in thickness.
There is a total sapphire weight of 7.62 carats. There is an estimated total diamond weight of 2.15 carats, estimate F-G in colour with VS1 clarity. The ring is currently a UK finger size L ½ (USA size 6) but this can be resized for a perfect fit. The ring is lastly stamped PLAT (for platinum) and engraved with the stone carat weights. There is a gross weight of 10.2 grams.
For size reference the head of the ring measures 1.8 x 1.7 centimetres.
