Limited Edition Vintage Salvador Dali for Piaget Coin Cufflinks

A rare pair of limited-edition Salvador Dali for Piaget coin swivel back cufflinks set in 22k and 18k yellow gold.

Designed by the famous surrealist painter Salvador Dali, these cufflinks were inspired by his hero, the French King – Louis XIV. Each cufflink is composed of a circular coin designed in a rustic way. Unknown to the eye at first glance are two figures on the front of the coin being Dali himself with his wife Gala. The faces are surrounded by laurel leaves, fleur-de-lys and eggs. The coins are then secured to reverse with swivel back fittings.

For size reference each cufflink face measures 1.8 x 1.8 centimetres and there is a combined weight of 21.4 grams. Each cufflink is signed and hallmarked Piaget, 1966, Salvador Dali, 750 (for 18k), 0.900 (for 22k gold). The coins used for this pair of cufflinks are numbers: 2609 and 2543. These numbers can be found at the side of both coins.
